NFL Mock Draft: The New York Jets Select......

Time to take a look at another mock draft to see whom the Jets are expected to take with the number 18 pick.

But this time, we are looking at a draft written by one of our own.  Our friends at NFL Mocks have written their post Super Bowl mock draft update.  Who do they have for our New York Jets?

Eric Ebron

The Jets need playmakers offensively, and Ebron is one of the best tight ends in the draft. He has the ability to play both TE and WR, and I think this would be a huge pickup for them.

Take a look at the whole draft by clicking here.

We have talked about Eric Ebron at length, the Jets will be just fine in making this selection.  He has excellent hands, and runs great routes from the tight end position.

Ebron can also use his body to position himself between the ball and the defender as well as anybody I have seen.  This will be a hugely translatable skill at the next level.

The only question will be if he is ready to get it done at the next level.  It’s the obvious question any time a player is coming out early.  It will always be a fair question, whether or not the player would be better playing out his final year of eligibility before coming up to the NFL.

For all visual evidence, the Jets would do just fine with the choice of Ebron.
