Super Bowl 48: Early Thoughts

It’s finally Super Bowl week. The “Road to MetLife Stadium” is complete. The Denver Broncos will take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday from MetLife Stadium, for the right to be called world champs. Here are some thoughts on the game as we get the week started.

Truly, we have the matchup that we all have been waiting for, and not just because the two number one seeds are facing each other. We have the number one offense in Denver going up against the number one defense in Seattle. We will truly see where we are at as far as our great game is concerned. Is offense really taking over, or does defense still win championships? This one will tell us.

This one is going to come down to the battle up front. Specifically, the Denver offensive line vs the Seattle defensive line. How big of a rush can Seattle create against Peyton Manning? If they can get to him with a four man rush, Peyton will have a problem. Richard Sherman and friends will win the battles down field if they don’t need to blitz. If Seattle can’t get there with a four man rush, and they need to create a pass rush? Manning will torch them.

And I love the attitude of Demaryius Thomas, who wants to take on Richard Sherman. To be the best, you have to want to take on the best. I can’t wait to see it.

We’ll talk more as the game gets closer.
