Complications in Rex Ryan-New York Jets Negotiations?

Could there be a problem as the Jets and Rex Ryan try to work things out? Take a look at what Ian Rappaport from the NFL Network tweeted out just a little while ago:

The hot rumor is that the issue is Dennis Thurman, the newly appointed defensive coordinator in 2013, appointed by Rex before Idzik’s arrival. That would be the logical thought, as DT is really the only “Rex guy” remaining on the staff.

However, a head coach is going to push to keep the staff that he is comfortable with. It could make things more difficult if Rex sticks to his guns, and so does Idzik. Could it prevent Rex from being retained? We will find out soon enough.
