It’s football Friday, so we are back with another week of our NFL picks. We will just briefly remember last week, as it was not good. I took an 0-3 week right on the chin, dropping the record to 18-25-2. Officially, a .500 season is out of the question, but we can use the last two weeks of the year to attempt a return to respectability.

Let’s not dwell on the past, let’s look ahead. Here come the picks for week 16 in the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE! Here we go……

COLTS AT CHIEFS: We start in Kansas City for game number one. The Chiefs, led by Jamaal Charles of five touchdown fame, take on Andrew Luck and the Colts. The Chiefs may have clinched a playoff berth, but they are still right on the heels of the Broncos for the top spot in the AFC.

On the other hand, the Colts have clinched their division, and will be either the third or fourth seed. The Chiefs’ offense is just looking too good right now. The Chiefs are favored by seven, and it’s a good pick. Take the….

Chiefs -7 over the Colts

GIANTS AT LIONS: To Detroit for the second game of the week. The Lions are favored by nine, as they remain in the fight for the final playoff spot in the NFC. The Giants enter, playing out the string of a rough season, with a lot of turnovers from their quarterback, Eli Manning. It has not been the best year for Big Blue to say the least, and it has had some wondering if Tom Coughlin will be back.

Do the Lions win this one? Probably. But one thing is for sure, the Giants will play hard for coach Coughlin. Pair that with the facts that one, the Lions have only covered this spread three times, and two, they are on a two game losing streak with the offense not playing well, and I don’t see them covering here. Take the….

Giants +9 over the Lions

RAIDERS AT CHARGERS: To San Diego for the final game. The Chargers come in with a 7-7 record, still in the hunt in the AFC, although they will need to win out and get help. The Raiders play out another season, coming in with a 4-10 record. The Chargers will win this one at least by the 10 they are favored by. Take the…..

Chargers -10 over the Raiders

There you have it, your three picks for week number 16:

The Chiefs, the Giants, and the Chargers

Good luck everyone. Enjoy the weekend slate of games.
