New York Jets vs. Carolina Panthers: PFF Grade Roundup

The Jets move ahead, playing out the final two weeks against Cleveland and the Dolphins, possibly to save coach Rex Ryan’s job. With that, let’s take a look back at last week’s game against the Panthers, courtesy of our friends at Pro Football Focus.

Let’s take a look at the grade roundup, and see who performed well, and who didn’t.  First with the….

Santonio Holmes  -1.1
Jeff Cumberland -1.2
D’Brickashaw Ferguson -0.5
Brian Winters -2.6
Nick Mangold 0.6
Willie Colon -0.1
Austin Howard -2.1
David Nelson 1.0
Geno Smith -0.2
Tommy Bohanon 2.1
Chris Ivory -1.6

I think it goes without saying, any time the fullback has the highest grade on offense, the group didn’t exactly excel. If only one offensive lineman has a positive grade (Nick Mangold), it’s also not a great day. Geno with a -0.2, however, shows what we saw, that he did make some good decisions. The game wasn’t all bad for him.

Muhammad Wilkerson 3.6
Damon Harrison 1.7
Sheldon Richardson 1.8
Calvin Pace 0.3
David Harris -2.4
Demario Davis -3.3
Quinton Coples -0.7
Dee Milliner 0.0
Dawan Landry -2.0
Ed Reed -0.4
Antonio Cromartie 0.0

As usual, the three big guys up front had big games. To draw some other positive, it’s nice to see Dee Milliner pick it up a bit. He didn’t make it to a positive number, but 0.0 isn’t a negative. He’s getting there.

Calvin Pace has quietly had an excellent season. It’s nice to see.
