New York Jets Week Fifteen: Earning Their Wings

The Jets dropped to 6-8 yesterday with their 30-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Despite that, there were players that earned their wings. Let’s get to them:

CHRIS IVORY: When Chris Ivory got the touches, he did the job. He ran the ball 11 times for 66 yards, a six yards per carry average. As usual, he ran like he was mad at the grass. One can only wonder why the Jets got away from Ivory, as he was the hot hand. Would it have been a different result if he had 20-25 touches? We can only wonder.

JEFF CUMBERLAND: “Cumby” finally showed up and had a decent game as the starting tight end. He caught 3 passes for 50 yards and one touchdown. He showed some speed and good hands, and how he could be a guy that is a weapon for Geno on the future.

NICK FOLK: If only the rest of our team was as consistent as Nick FOlk. He went two for two with the field goals, including a 54 yard kick. The “Folk Hero” continues to be money in the bank, as he has been all year.
