Santonio Holmes and Jeremy Kerley Questionable for Sunday vs. Dolphins

Geno Smith may be quite limited again, as far as the weapons as his disposal are concerned.

Wide receivers Jeremy Kerley and Santonio Holmes are both listed as “questionable” for tomorrow afternoon’s game the Miami Dolphins. Both of the receivers believe that they will play, head coach Rex Ryan is not so sure. Coach intimated that it will be a “game-time” decision on both players.

If Holmes and Kerley cannot go, it will obviously put Geno Smith and the Jets’ offense behind the 8-ball due to a lack of weapons. David Nelson will be called upon to have a huge game on the outside, as will Jeff Cumberland and Kellen Winslow in the slot.

The running game will need to come up big as well, to accomodate for the lack of weapons on the outside as well. Without Kerley and/or Holmes, if the Jets are not careful, the game could become out of balance quickly, and the Jets will be in trouble.

Mike Pouncey of the Dolphins was quoted earlier today about how much they don’t like the Jets. We need to show him how much the feeling is mutual tomorrow from MetLife.
