It’s Thursday afternoon gang, so how about a throw back? Let’s have a “Throwback Thursday”, and take it all the way back to the Bill Parcells days. We are going back to late, great 1998, and the game against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo from that year.

It was December 19, and the Jets entered the game against their division rivals with a 10-4 record. The Bills came into the game right on the heels of the Jets, with the 90′s Tim Tebow at quarterback in Doug Flutie, and sporting a 9-5 record.

The first half ends in a 7-7 tie, as the two teams trade touchdown passes, Testaverde to Wayne Chrebet for seven yards in the first quarter, Doug Flutie To Thurman Thomas for 25 yards in the second to tie it.

The balance of the scoring occurs in the third quarter. After the teams exchange field goals, the Jets go ahead to stay. Vinny Testaverde hits Dedric Ward(remember him?) with a 71 yard TD pass, and the Jets win the ball game 17-10, and they run their record to 11-4 on what turned out to be quite the memorable regular season.

Here is your boxscore from the game:
