Good morning, and happy hump day New York Jets’ fans. We have made our way to the end of the countdown, so let’s finish it off this morning. This is the countdown of the five top moments from the first half of the season for the 2013 New York Jets. Here is where we have been, just in case you missed it:

Number five was the touchdown to Santonio Holmes against the Bills,

Number four was Geno Smith’s first career touchdown pass,

Perfect Nick Folk came in at number three,

And game-saving penalties were number two,

So what came in at number one?  What was the greatest moment, in this blogger’s opinion, in the first half of the 2013 season for the New York Jets.

Well, your clue is the guy in the picture to the left, helping Kyle Wilson make the stop on Lance Moore.

Did that give it away?  It took place in the game against New England, from MetLife Stadium….wait for it, the number one moment is…….

ANTONIO ALLEN PICK SIX OF TOM BRADY

And no, I didn’t just make this choice because it happened against the Evil Empire with Mr. Brady. This was a huge moment, and depending upon how the rest of the season turns out, this could be the biggest moment of the entire year.

The reason? The momentum was all on New England’s side. They ended the half up 21-10, and they received the second half kickoff. If Brady goes down the field and takes his team to an 18 point lead, there is no way in the universe the Jets are getting back in this one.

The drive starts at the New England 20, following a touchback on Folk’s kickoff. On first down, Brady is sacked and fumbles, on a great play by Quinton Coples. Brady recovers to set the play up second down and sixteen from their own 14:

Brady is lined up in the gun, the circle is on the matchup of the Gronk vs. Antonio Allen. At the snap, Gronk will come across the formation with Allen all over him. For some un-Bradylike reason, he will hone in on Gronk the entire time, and attempt a throw into very tight coverage.

Antonio Allen makes the pick, and takes it to the house:

21-17, and as we know, the Jets go on to win the ball game.

So there you have it. What do you guys think of the list?
