Early Thoughts on New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills

The Jets pick it up after the bye this week, completing the season series against the Buffalo Bills. These two teams met at MetLife Stadium week number three, with the Jets coming out on top 27-20. They head to Buffalo to complete the series.

E.J. Manuel is back leading the Buffalo Bills offense. Then again, he was leading the offense back in week three as well. The Jets also kept Geno Smith clean all game last time, giving up zero sacks. These are all important keys to the game on Sunday. But most importantly, the Jets must stop the two-headed running attack.

C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson must be stopped.

Fred Jackson was a thorn in the Jets’ side last time, rushing seven times for 72 yards. The Jets had a helluva time trying to tackle him back in week three. They are going to have to be a lot more successful this time around, with both he and Spiller averaging over four yards per carry.

C.J Spiller was ineffective last time, and left with injury after only 10 carries for nine yards. But, he’s only two weeks removed from his best game of the year, 116 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jets had better be careful or he could do that again and more. If they don’t set the edge against him, it will be a long afternoon.
