As bloggers, we reference the grade system from Pro Football Focus quite a bit.  Not having access to the stats that the team has access to, the PFF grades are the closest we get to a day-to-day grading system for the players in the league.

So, we take a look at it on a game by game basis.  We look at it to see the development of a player over a series of weeks, or the fall of a player.

Today, it was high time to go back to these grades, and take a look at how the team has performed over the first half of the season, +one game.

So first, we bring you the offensive grades.

The only real surprise is on the offensive line. Austin Howard is the only one with a positive PFF grade over nine games, everyone else, is at a negative. Nick Mangold is at a -5.0. D’Brickashaw Ferguson graded out at a -4.7, and Willie Colon with a -7.2.

No running back is at a positive for the first half, but as the offensive line improves, so will the numbers of our running backs.

We will look at the defense next:
