In the middle of the bye week, looking ahead to the second half of the season, and what could still be Rex Ryan’s last half of a season as the Jets’ coach, let’s continue our look back. This is our look back as to how the Jets have performed after the bye week, during each of the years of the Rex Ryan era.
Yesterday, we revisited Rex’s first year, 2009. Today, we are going back to the year of the second AFC title game, 2010.
2010 was the best year of the Ryan era so far, when the team finished the regular season with an 11-5 record. Before the bye was one of the best runs in team history, as the team went on a five game winning streak, to finish before their early bye at 5-1. Here is what the team did after the bye:

At 6-4, it wasn’t a dominant last part of the season in 2010 either. But, it was good enough to get the job done. Neither of the first two years, was Rex’s team dominant after the break, but they were good enough.
Can that happen again in 2013? We will see soon enough.
