We have hit the quarter pole of the NFL season, as week five hits. What do we do? We get right back to our NFL picks, like we have done every week so far.

Last week, we fell back to below .500 with a week record of 1-2. We were saved from getting swept by the fact that Jacksonville can’t score, or stop anyone. So, we enter week number five with a record of 5-6-1.

You know the drill. The picks are recreational only, and we take no responsibility for any financial losses based on these picks. With that said, let’s get to our picks for week five in the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE!

RAMS -12 OVER JAGUARS

We start this week in St. Louis, with two struggling teams, the Rams and the Jaguars. Here are two teams that have had trouble getting out of their own way, with the Jaguars sporting a 0-4 record, and the Rams coming in with the slightly less horrible 1-3 record.

This one is pretty simple for me. The Jaguars can’t stop anybody, and have not been able to keep their opponent from covering. I am going to ride their opponents until they show me they can compete. Take……

the Rams -12 over the Jaguars

PACKERS -7 OVER LIONS

We head to Lambeau Field(John Facenda voice) for game number two. The Lions bring their division leading 3-1 record into Green Bay to take on the Packers, coming off of their bye week and sporting a 1-2 record. Detroit actually comes in on a two game winning streak.

The Lions do have Matthew Stafford and Charles Johnson, no doubt. But the Packers just have too many weapons on the outside, from Jordy Nelson, to Randall Cobb. They are all over. I don’t see them losing in their house. Take…..

the Packers -7 over the Lions

49ERS -6 OVER THE TEXANS

Two teams with identical 2-2 records come into a the matchup in San Francisco. The 49ers are coming off of a win last week, while the Texans are fresh off of a tough loss.

The 49ers have been inconsistent against the spread, even at home. They were beaten by the Colts earlier in the year, and the league has begun to catch up with Colin Kaepernick. Take…..

the Texans +6 over the 49ers

So there you have it, here are our three picks:

Rams -12 over the JaguarsPackers -7 over the LionsTexans +6 over the 49ers

Good luck, and enjoy the games this week.
