New York Jets Week Four: Earning Their Wings

It was tough to figure out any wings to give out this week, after yesterday’s brutal loss to the Titans. I finally did come up with a couple of guys that were deserving, so here we go:

BILAL POWELL: Although the Jets did abandon the running game as they fell behind, Bilal was effective when used. He ran the ball 14 times for 66 yards, a 4.7 yards per carry average. It is nice to see Powell starting to excel in his role as a starting back.

RYAN QUIGLEY: You know it’s a bad day when you give out a game ball to the punter. Still he did punt it five times for an average of almost 42 yards per punt, dropping one inside the twenty. He did what he could to help the Jets in the field position battle, for what it was worth.

KELLEN WINSLOW: Kellen Winslow was back on the board today after being shut out for a couple of weeks, reeling in six passes for 73 yards, leading Jets’ receivers. If he can be more consistent, he will be a force over the middle for Geno Smith.
