The Jets get receiver Jeremy Kerley back this week, which instantly boosts the offense

Week 3- Buffalo Bills @ New York JetsWhen- Sunday Sept 22 4:25 PM.

Buffalo Bills Injury Report for Thursday

Did not Participate in Practice Thursday-CB Ron Brooks ( Foot), CB Stephen Gilmore ( wrist), WR Marquise Goodwin ( Hand), K Dustin Hopkins ( Right groin)

Analysis- The big loss here for the Bills is without a doubt former first round pick Stephen Gilmore. Although the Jets do not have a very strong receiving core, missing Gilmore is a huge loss for the Buffalo secondary. Without Gilmore, it means that the Bills will be forced to put their 3rd or 4th cornerback on the depth chart on either Stephen Hilln, Jeremy Kerley, or Santonio Holmes. Quarterback Geno Smith and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg must look to try to take advantage with Gilmore not on the field. Goodwin is a speed receiver who may have cause the Jets some matchup headaches. Brooks hurts the depth of the secondary as well.

Limited Participation in Practice Thursday-S Jarius Byrd ( Foot), G Doug Legursky ( knee).

Analysis- As I mentioned when talking about Stephen Gilmore, the Bills would be a vastly improved defense with safety Jarius Byrd on the field. After a very tumultuous offseason dealing with contract issues and injuries, the last thing the Bills or Byrd want is to deal with this foot injury.

New York Jets Injury Report-

Did Not Participate In Practice ThursdayWR Santonio Holmes ( foot)Analysis- Breath easy Jets fans, Tone is fine. He did not suffer a setback or have an issue over the week, but instead this is just part of the pitch count the Jets have set up to make sure Holmes is able to stay healthy throughout the rest of the season.

Full Participation in Practice Thursday-G Willie Colon ( knee), CB Antonio Cromartie ( hip), WR Clyde Gates ( knee), WR Stephen Hill ( knee), T Austin Howard ( ribs), WR Jeremy Kerley ( Concussion), LB Garett McIntyre ( knee) , RB Bilal Powell ( illness, shoulder), QB Geno Smith ( ankle) , DE Muhammad Wilkerson ( ankle) .

Analysis- It is great news for the Jets that Wilkerson seems to be fine and ready to go after giving the teams and the fans a scare after suffering an ankle injury in the second half in the game vs the Patriots. It is also going to be a huge boost for the Jets on Sunday when they get slot receiver Jeremy Kerley back after suffering a concussion week one against the Bucs.

Limited Participation in Practice Thursday-T Oday Aboushi ( knee) , DE Quinton Coples ( ankle) , DT Kenrick Ellis ( back) , DT Sheldon Richardson ( shoulder) , TE Kellen Winslow ( knee).

Analysis- After suffering an injury early in preaseason vs the Jaguars, it looks like defensive end Quinton Coples will be making his 2013 debut this week against the Bills. Adding Coples to a line of Wilkerson, Richardson, and Harrison is not good news for Bills quarterback EJ Manuel. This week, it looks like the Jets have a fully healthy squad.
