New York Jets Sign Jeremy Kerley Insurance in Ben Obomanu

The Jets made a roster move this morning, just to be safe, with the Jeremy Kerley news.

As we mentioned yesterday, Jeremy Kerley did not pass concussion protocols, so he was held out of practice. Just in case he is not ready to go on Thursday night, the Jets have resigned WR Ben Obomanu. He was with the team during training camp, and many thought he had a shot to make the final 53. Now he is back. To make room, the Jets have released LB Scott Solomon.

With New England looking like they will be down several weapons on Thursday night, the Jets are hopeful that Jeremy Kerley will pass the protocols prior to the game and be ready to go. However, just in case Kerley is not, Obomanu is their insurance policy.

The big one against New England is almost here. Get ready!
