Here are just a couple of practice squad updates from today. Most of the fans will be happy about these two.

Danny Lansanah has been added back to the team, via the practice squad. He was originally retained on the final 53 man roster, prior to being released. They have brought him back as a member of the PS now. Junior Aumavae has been brought back as well, also to the practice squad.

A corresponding move was made, as the Jets released JB Shugarts.

There are still some concerns with the 53 man roster, as the team is carrying on five defensive linemen at this point. For a team that runs a lot of 3-4, the defensive linemen are going to get tired, and some depth would be much appreciated there. Another concern is at linebacker. At press time, the Jets have only retained 3 inside linebackers, which is not a high number either.

The roster will surely endure more changes soon. It will be interesting to see how things play out.

I really don’t think those are concerns now that Danny and Junior have been added to the practice squad. Either of them would be capable replacements in case of injury to one of the regulars.
