New York Jets Roster Update: Cuts Up to 10

We are now officially past the 6 PM deadline, and although the Jets haven’t announced the official moves, another cut has slipped into the news.

DL Lanier Coleman has been released. No real surprise here, as the development of guys like Damon Harrison, and others, made Coleman expendable. We didn’t hear much from him by the end of camp, and now he is gone. Here is the list of moves that have been reported so far:

NT Antonio Garay
K Dan Carpenter
LB JoJo Dickson
DL Junior Aumavae
OL Erik Cook
QB Greg McElroy
CB Mike Edwards
DL Tevita Finau
RB Mossis Madu (injury settlement, concussion)
DL Lanier Coleman

That leaves the Jets’ unofficial roster count at 65, leaving 10 moves remaining. Suprisingly, a guy that is still on the team is Graham Harrell. Maybe his kneel down was done so proficiently that he earned a roster spot?

People are starting to wonder if the holdup in the announcements are because they are trying to figure out a way to get rid of Mark Sanchez. We’ll see about that.
