Good morning Gang Green faithful and Jet Pressers alike. The morning of preseason game number two is upon us. Tonight at 7:30 PM, Blaine Gabbert, MJD and the rest of the Jacksonville Jaguars head to MetLife stadium to face our beloved New York Jets. The starters, according to Rex Ryan, will likely play the entire first half. Much to the majority of Jets’ fans disappointment, that is going to include Mark Sanchez.

We don’t know whether Geno Smith will play tonight or not, and if he does, which unit he will play with. This, and many other questions will continue to move towards answers in approximately 14 hours.

For anyone not heading out to MetLife tonight for the game, here is where you can catch it:

WHERE TO WATCH:

If you are not in the NYC area, and not in the Jacksonville area either, you can watch the game via the NFL Network. That will be blacked out in the NYC area. The game is available on CBS for those of us in the NYC area unaffected by the Time Warner dispute.

Those of us that are affected can either watch it on the computer via Aereo live, on NFL Preseason Live(on delay only).  If you prefer the television, SNY will be airing a replay of the game at 12:30 AM on Sunday morning, and 2 PM on Sunday afternoon.

WHERE TO LISTEN:

As usual, you can listen to the game on ESPN radio, 98.7 FM, with Bob Wischusen and Marty Lyons bringing you all the action, as they do all season long.  For those of you listening on Sirius radio, you can find the Jets’ broadcast on channel 88, and if you are interested, you can find the Jaguars’ broadcast on channel 113.

Enjoy the game tonight everybody.

During the spring we discussed at length the ineptness of espn and their semi-professional applications for android and iPhone. I’ve also mentioned how I like to listen to Marty and bob call the games on the radio, which, unfortunately puts me at espn’s mercy. At approximately 8.10 this evening the espn app, iPhone version went into commercial and remained there looping the same four or five advertisers for over twenty minutes. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I changed stations and came back all to no avail. I finally had to listen to the morons calling the game on tv, who promptly informed me what a dangerous return man record setting fair catcher Jeremy Kerry is! Yikes! Dangerous? Maybe if you get too close and get trampled during one of his muffs! But I’ll give espn, the worlds failure in sports credit, it only took them about a half an hour to fix their stream! Between espn and cablevision how is it possible that such inept broadcast entities control so much sports? Maybe we should blame Rex for that, too.
