BREAKING: Mark Sanchez to Start at QB for the New York Jets on Saturday Night

Just moments ago, the New York Jets announced their starting quarterback for the game against the Jaguars, and most fans will not like it.

Via their Twitter feed, they have announced that Mark Sanchez will start the game at quarterback on Saturday night at MetLife stadium.

Reading the day to day reports from camp these last couple of weeks, this really isn’t a surprise. Mark has been outperforming Geno daily, and for the last several days in a row. Mark has been more accurate, and more consistent. I know that it is just practice, but that is when you evaluate players, practice.

Let’s not forget that Geno Smith is a bit banged up with that ankle as well. Geno may not be well enough to play very much, when you hear Rex tell it. That may be hampering his play in practice, and the Jets don’t want to ruin their rookie QB before he gets out of the gate.

Be ready for the boo birds on Saturday night.

means nothing more then Sanchez is starting the 2nd preseason game—If history has taught us anything, talent and good play will rise to the top—we know a lot about sanchez and we know very little about Geno—let it play out Jet fans and try no to have emotions of a hysterical 15 yr old girl. Im glad the Jets are using the gloves off / tough love attitude with Geno– Looks like the jets learned from their mistakes with sanchez.

I love when my readers show intelligent logic :)

Well let’s see what happens and obviously hope for the best. However, if Mark doesn’t do well against the lowly Jaguars then let’s see if Rex’s gloves come off for Mark too!

Ok here is an interesting fact that I just found out:

“In last year’s preseason, it’s worth noting that Russell Wilson didn’t
start the second game and, in fact, didn’t even get into the game until
the third quarter. Even so, he still won the starting job for Seattle.
Of course John Idzik will be well aware of this.”

Coincidence or may fate be conspiring to make it happen all over again?

    • TheJetPress

that is an interesting one..nice catch

Google ” rated 4 year NFL starter ” . This is what Jet fans know about Sanchez–its nothing personal against Sanchez or any of his supporters -it is what it is.
