Throwback Thursday:1981 New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

Time for another installment of Throwback Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. This week, we actually have full game footage for you, courtesy of YouTube, and involving our biggest rival of the time, the Miami Dolphins.

The date was Novemember 22, 1981, and the Dolphins wee headed into town to take on the 6-4-1, New York Jets. Richard Todd and company had come off of three straight wins, against the Giants, the Colts and the Patriots. and they take on Don Shula and the rest of the archrival Miami Dolphins.

It was a tough, defensive game, the entire way through. The Dolphins pulled ahead with a 12 point second quarter, but the Jets pulled away with 10 points in the final stanza to win the game going away:
