Good morning JET Pressers. It’s time for a “Throwback Thursday”. We look take the time on a Thursday to look back at in interesting game in Jets’ history, just because it’s fun to look back sometimes. Today, we get back to it, but we aren’t going back too far to locate the footage.

Remember within the last few weeks or so, I wrote a post that briefly talked about why we remain Jets fans.  I talked about how it will feel when we finally win a title, how rooting for Jets builds character…..all that kind of stuff.

The other reason we stay is that, because we are so used to poor play, we use any exciting play at all to build our Super Bowl dreams.  And the year the Jets’ did this to us, leading up to the draft, was this past season, week 1.

Remember the offensive onslaught the Jets dropped on the Bills week one?  Mark Sanchez and company dropped 48 points on the Bills.  Am I the only one that diluted enough to believe that the Jets would have an offense going forward.

Although the defense took some plays off to keep the game close, the Jets offense won this one in convincing style, 48-28. Take a look at the video of this ultimate tease:

Ah what might have been.

When mark threw that pick on the first possession I was afraid it was a harbinger of things to come. I allowed my optimism to make me believe we’d be fine. The truth is the defense made that game easy for the offense. Without that kind of help we saw how the rest of the season went. I still believe that was one of the worst and stupidest interceptions of mark’s career.

It was up there, that’s for sure.

What are you trying to say? That we won’t have any prominent games this fall? Can’t imagine why you might think that LOL

I couldn’t watch the games last year except on rewind the day after so I had to listen to the game, and not seeing I think amplified the effect…because I went to work the next day(in typical rex ryan confidence) and declared I couldn’t wait until we stomp on the pattie cakes…not to be….why did you bring this up? depressing….I was sooo not thankful on thanksgiving.

Had to bring up when we had hope. Sorry didn’t mean to depress you.
