The Jets final pick of the day has been announced, and it is back on the offensive side of the football.

With pick 215, the Jets have chosen Tommy Bohanon, a fullback out of Wake Forest. He ran a 4.88 40 yard dash and bench pressed 36 reps at the NFL combine.

CAREER STATS RUSHING RECEIVING
SEASON ATT YDS AVG LNG TD REC YDS AVG LNG TD
2012 2 1 0.5 1 1 23 208 9.0 34 5
2011 15 31 2.1 7 2 9 56 6.2 15 1
2010 17 77 4.5 22 0 11 75 6.8 11 0
2009 16 51 3.2 8 0 8 66 8.3 19 1

Obviously he is a strong guy, and pretty quick for a fullback. A sub 5 second 40 yard dash is not bad at all for a fullback. The thing is again, did the Jets need a fullback. It is baffling that they have ended the day without any OLB, or WRs. It is just surprising.

To be fair, we do not know the Jets plan for the UDFAs, so that we have to pay attention to tonight. But for now, they have not made a move at either of these two positions. So it remains to be seen whether they address issues here, but for now it remains baffling.

And by the way, haven’t we been here before with a pick of a fullback?

How do you guys feel about the pick? You know what to do, do it below:

the guy seems pretty well rounded. he apparently catches pretty well and blocks decently. this may mean the end of mr hilliard. don’t everyone cry at once. i beleieve they grabbed a couple ufa tight ends and receivers, a fs as well as a few more linemen, both sides of the ball. i think my earlier comment was accurate, they’re trying to get every lineman they can get their hands on!

Probably does mean the end of Hilliard. I believe they did sign a whole bunch of UDFAs on both sides of the ball….. I will obtain a list and post when I can

Drafting this guy over a skill position player makes no sense, even for a 7th round pick.

Preaching to the choir my friend. I totally agree.
