I think Buffalo will take Austin #8 therefore Ryan shores up defense taking MINGO at #9 and DB Hayden at #13

  • John Szeligowski Jr.

Why is it that in a draft filled with fantastic o-lineman, freakish defensive tackles and some fantastic tight ends that all anybody is picking the Jets to do is go for the flavor of the minute? Austin at 172lbs gets gets nailed once by a linebacker and he’s drinking through a personalized straw on the bench ’till he’s cut. Ansah is a beast of a guy but do you really want to go first round with a guy you’d really have to train at the position you’re picking him for? Besides the fact that the Jets don’t have Devito anymore and drafting a DT like Richardson, Williams, and most definitely Floyd, would help Coples and Mo crush people, we need LBs and OLs. We have two very good DEs already. And please stop talking about Mingo, After watching tape on him myself all I had to hear was the commentary at the combine to know what I saw was right…he was described by one analyst as a guy who looked like he led his team in ass slaps and high fives, he’s around the action but not in it. Take this draft for what it is, the positions that this draft is strongest in are all the positions we need to fill, end of story. If we pick Shariff Floyd and he sacks the QB 8 times and makes 50 tackles…all of a sudden he’s the pick of the draft! We pick Wallace, Cormack, or one of the Winters at OL and our rushing game gets 130+yds a game…that’s a smart pick! Let’s get our heads on straight….trying to find the “needle in the haystack” all star this year does nothing but get you straw up your nose.
