Jets Fans React to NFL Mocks Recent Mock Draft via Twitter

For this week’s version of “TweetSpeak”, instead of bringing you one of my own questions, we bring you a different discussion, courtesy of NFLmocks.com.

This past Tuesday, our friends from the NFL Mocks crew put out a three round mock draft which included trades.  Follow the link to read the entire draft, here are the picks for our New York Jets:

9. Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU

13. (via trade for Darrelle), Geno Smith, QB, UVA

39. Damontre Moore, DE/OLB, Texas A & M

72. Jonathan Franklin, RB, UCLA

Well, instead of me giving my evaluation of this mock, I decided to use this mock as this week’s topic, giving you all the chance to Tweet in and give your thoughts. First, I bring you a series of Tweets from 1 reader that needed more than 140 to give his feelings:

All fair points by TJ. I agree, Geno at #13 would be way overvaluing him. I don’t really see him as a top 10-15 pick. I don’t see any of the QB’s fitting that distinction.

Good point by John, would love Miliner if the Revis trade eventually does happen.

Well, our friend @hashtagfrankie will not be happy, but the resounding opinion is that people like Mingo at #9, but don’t like Geno at #13. Fair enough.

We will do it again, with more “TweetSpeak” next week.
