New York Jets Lose Safety Yeremiah Bell to the Cardinals

Another one bites the dust, and this time, it’s a player we don’t hear very much from, but he is on the way out the door. It’s not LaRon Landry, it’s the other guy.

Multiple sources have reported in tonight that Yeremiah Bell, after his one year with the New York Jets, has been signed by the Arizona Cardinals to a one year deal.

The Cardinals were in the market for another safety, as earlier today, the Cardinals parted ways with former Jet Kerry Rhodes. For anyone who is thinking about a reunion between the Jets and Kerry Rhodes, it’s time to wake up and apologize. He was not a “Rex type” when he was here, and he certainly didn’t become one after being gone. It’s not happening.

One thing is interesting, however. Remember when everyone said how bad the Jets roster is? Well, the Jets free agents seem to be getting signed quickly. Pretty good guys from a bad roster? Maybe the product was bad coaching. Who knows? Just something to think about.

He’s a solid player and not expensive. The same can be said for Devito,, Greene, etc. The Jets are losing the low/reasonable cost guys now. The higher priced guys like Keller and Moore are where teams don’t know where their value is.
