Top 5 New York Jets Draft Picks in the 2000′s: Number 1

Good morning Jets fans. It’s time to bring the countdown home. This week, as we look ahead to the 2013 NFL draft, we have been looking back at the top 5 Jets’ draft picks from the 2000′s. So far, we have talked about Shaun Ellis, Muhammad Wilkerson, D’Brickashaw Ferguson, and Nick Mangold.

Now it is time to reveal the top Jets draft pick from the 2000′s.  With all of the guys I have named already, I am sure you know who is coming, but I have to tell you anyway.

The number one, best Jets draft pick from the 2000′s is………………………

DARRELLE REVIS

I may not like his attitude lately, but we all know he backs up his attitude when he is on the field.  He is the shut-down cornerback that everyone dreams they have, and makes football fans remember back to Deion Sanders.

When Darrelle goes up against any wide receiver, that receiver is taken out of the football game.  He doesn’t necessarily put up a lot of interceptions each year, but the reason for that is simple.  QB’s don’t throw towards Revis Island.  They know they aren’t going to have much luck, so they decide it isn’t worth it.

Good decision, and that is why he is the obvious choice for number one.
