Talk about a great job by the NFL.

USA Today reported that 26 students from Sandy Hook Elementary School will be singing during the pregame on Super Bowl Sunday in New Orleans.  The chosen group size was 26 to correlate with the 26 students and faculty members that were tragically taken from us during the shooting at the school.

The league is flying the students and families down to New Orleans this week, and the students will perform “America the Beautiful”.  CBS will air the performance on their telecast, prior to Alicia Keys’ rendition of the National Anthem.

Since the terrible tragedy, dedications were done throughout the league, as stadiums lined their walls with tributes, players carried messages on their uniforms, moments of silence were honored, and some local players even made the trip to the Newtown area to meet with victim’s families.

To include the studens in the league’s biggest day is just an honorable way to cap off a season of tributes to these beautiful children, taken from all of us far too soon.
