Rex Ryan Wrecks His Mustang in Pennsylvania

I guess coach Ryan really was excited to talk to Marty Mornhinweg about the open offensive coordinator position.

According to Deadspin, over the same weekend that Mornhinweg was hired, Rex was driving through Bethlehem, PA during the evening of Jan 14th.  Allegedly, he ran a red light, a car hit him, causing him to hit another car.  A tip told Deadspin that Rex was speeding, although their source in the police department would not confirm that piece.

The damage did not indicate that Rex was speeding, and the police source did not indicate that Rex was given a citation.

Not that this is a real big deal, but it certainly will get it’s share of play.  We all know that any time anything happens with coach Ryan, or anyone else involved with the Jets, the story gets blown up into a national situation.

Take a look at the link above to read the whole story, just so you can be aware when Cimini, and the other miserable reporters that like to poke fun at the Jets take their shots, you can be aware of what was actually said in Deadspin.
