It looks like the Jets have found their man to revitalize the career of Mark Sanchez.

The Daily News is reporting tonight that the Jets have hired quarterback guru David Lee to replace Matt Cavanaugh as the Jets quarterback coach. The Jets tried to bring him in last year before he went to the same post with the Bills. He was previously with the Dolphins, where he was the “Innovator of the Year”, credited with bringing the Wildcat into the league in 2008. He was the Dolphins’ quarterback coach in 2008 when Chad Pennington posted a passer rating of 97.4, earning Comeback Player of the Year honors.

David will be charged with the task of revitalizing the play of the seemingly lost Mark Sanchez. He needs to remember how to read defenses and be accurate. Bringing Mark Sanchez back to the level of a starter in the NFL will be no easy task. David Lee will have his hands full in 2013.
