BREAKING: Christian Ponder Out, Joe Webb to Start Tonight for Vikings

Talk about a welcome to the party.

Christian Ponder has been having trouble with his shoulder all week, but was not declared out, only listed as questionable. Well, he made a go of it during warmups for tonight’s game against the Packers, but the arm wouldn’t loosen up. He has no been officially declared out for the game tonight, and in his place, Joe Webb will start at quarterback, making him the first quarterback in league history to start a playoff game without throwing a single pass during the regular season.

This is going to put the focus even more on Adrian Peterson, as the Vikings are going to have to control that football tonight, and have Webb manage the game as best as he can. If they try to get into a shooting match against Aaron Rodgers and his weapons on offense, this one will become a blowout very, very quickly.

Webb will have his hands full tonight. Welcome to NFL playoff football Joe, good luck.
