You have to give Darrelle Revis credit for meeting with the media on Monday. Since he is rehabbing injury, the league does not require him to. But, he did, talking about his rehab, and taking a minute to reflect on the dismissal of Mike Tannenbaum:

There is really no reaction. Everybody gets evaluated. In this business we get evaluated every week. It is just the business side of it. He did great things here for the last couple of years. It is really sad. You do not want to see (anybody) get fired or any players getting released in this manner but it happened. He had a great speech that he wrote in the team meeting. Guys clapped for him afterwards and felt sorry for him.

You would think he might have more of a reaction, in that Mike Tannenbaum did make Revis a very rich man. I guess everyone takes these things in their own way. Here is what he had to say about his rehab:

It’s going great. I have been working really hard. I have been pushing (Head Athletic Trainer John Mellody) he has been pushing me. It has been going great. It is always steps and phases. We are in another phase right now. Eventually, I have to keep on rehabbing and soon enough I will start jogging and go from there.

This defense is going to be great again, I am counting down until we see Revis healthy in 2013.
