Jets Sign RB John Griffin to Active Roster

The Jets have made a move with the active roster. Is it Mike Tannenbaum’s last?

The Jets announced this afternoon that they activated RB John Griffin from the practice squad to the active roster. He was signed by the Jets during last off season, and was with the team through training camp until he was cut back in August. In November, the Jets brought him back to the practice squad, and now, his elevation to the active roster. As a senior at Massachusetts(2011), Griffin rushed for 843 yards and five touchdowns on 168 carries.

A popular player on Twiiter (@FlightPhase), he is to be congratulated on his hard work to get back.

The question now is, will this be Mike Tannenbaum’s final move as the Jets general manager? Many sources say he will either be demoted or fired come “Black Monday”. We will find out soon enough, but Monday will probably be a more exciting day than gameday this week.
