Aaron Berry Likely Out for the Year with Hamstring Injury

Aaron Berry has made no impact on the Jets, now he is possibly headed for IR.

The fact that I couldn’t find a picture of this guy in a Jets uniform tells you the impact he has had as a New York Jets cornerback. Now, he won’t have an impact at all. Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News is reporting this morning that cornerback Aaron Berry will miss 2-3 weeks with his hamstring injury, and the Jets are considering placing him on season ending injury reserve.

It’s a tough break for a guy that the Jets were looking for production out of, due to the absence of Darrelle Revis. Like I said earlier, the fact that we didn’t even have a picture of Berry in a Jets uniform tells you all you need to know about the impact he has had on the Jets. None! Cromartie, Wilson, Lankster and company have done a good job stepping up since the loss of Darrelle Revis to the knee injury. It will be interesting to see whether or not the Jets move Berry to IR, as that could pave the way for the return of Braylon Edwards. This we will find out later this afternoon I would guess.
