No Decision at Quarterback Yet for the Jets

At least for now, the quarterback carousel continues.

At this morning’s press conference, head coach Rex Ryan refuses to announce a starting quarterback for the upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, citing the need for more time. He said he is not thinking long term, but solely about who gives them the best chance to win against the Jaguars.

Although I speculated earlier that he may have made a decision in his mind by his lack of response yesterday, there is no real surprise that he hasn’t announced a starter. Let the win get around his brain a little longer, take some time to think about the game that happened, and the game upcoming.

The interesting part is that he was asked more than once if Tim Tebow is in the equation, and he said he is. He feels confident in all three quarterbacks, and that any one of them will play well. How much of that I believe, I am not sure, but the fact is that he put it out there.

It will be an interesting week, that’s for sure.
