Some unfortunate news out of the Jets win today. No, not Sanchez getting benched.

Dustin Keller came out of the game after making a catch, limping and favoring his ankle, and didn’t return. Rich Cimini of ESPN is reporting that the injury is a high ankle sprain. As we all know, those linger with players for a long time, so this will threaten the rest of Keller’s season. As bad as it is for the Jets, it’s also a tough break for Dustin, as he has been battling injuries all season, and coming to the end of his contract. Spending much of this year on the sideline does not bode well for a new contract.

So, whether it is McElroy, Sanchez, or Tebow, they will be going forward with Jeff Cumberland and Konrad Reuland. This could be the future of the Jets going forward, McElroy to Cumberland. As we know, there is nothing official yet on the quarterback situation, we will find out soon enough.
