Jets vs. Cardinals: Wednesday Injury Report

Here is the first injury report of the week, starting with the Jets:

DID NOT PRACTICE:

DB Aaron Berry        Quad
WR Clyde Gates        Concussion

LIMITED PARTICIPATION:

DL Sione Pouha        Low Back
LB Bart Scott             Toe
WR Jeremy Kerley   Heel/Hamstring/Illness
WR Chaz Schilens    Concussion/Hip
QB Tim Tebow          Ribs

FULL PARTICIPATION:

DL Kenrick Ellis       Knee
RB Joe McKnight     Ankle
RB Bilal Powell         Shoulder
QB Mark Sanchez    Low Back
OL Brandon Moore  Hip
OL Matt Slauson      Knee
TE Jeff Cumberland Wrist
LB Calvin Pace          Shoulder
DB LaRon Landry    Heel
OL Nick Mangold    Thumb
TE Dustin Keller      Illness

It is not looking good for Gates, and he still has to go through and pass all of the league’s protocol in order to play on Sunday. Schillens was limited, despite his assertion that he practiced in full, we’ll monitor him, but he and Gates being banged up is likely the reason for the Gilyard signing. Tebow was limited, and for the first time all year, Greg McElroy threw quite a bit in practice, so he might dress. Tebow is expected to play, per coach Ryan, so the Jets might dress three quarterbacks for the first time all season.

Now for the Cardinals:

DID NOT PARTICIPATE:

WR Andre Roberts        Ankle

LIMITED PARTICIPATION:

DB Justin Bethel           Shoulder
WR LaRon Byrd            Head
DE Calais Campbell      Calf
WR Early Doucet          Ribs
QB Kevin Kolb               Ribs
RB William Powell       Shoulder
RB Beanie Wells            Knee

FULL PARTICIPATION:

LS Mike Leach              Back
S Kerry Rhodes            Back

Beanie Wells did perform well last week, so at this point is fair to expect to see him on Sunday. With Kolb being limited, it appears as if Ken Wisenhunt is leaning towards Ryan Lindley starting at quarterback against the Jets on Sunday. We will monitor these as well as the week goes along.
