At 4-7, it has been a tale of two different Jets teams. The 4 wins are a marked difference from the 7 losses. Take a look:

POINTS PER GAME: SANCHEZ COMPLETION PERCENTAGE:
In 4 Wins: 33.25 PPG 4 Wins: 60%
7 Losses: 12.5 PPG 7 Losses: 53.3%

POINTS ALLOWED PER GAME: YARDS PER GAME:
4 Wins: 17.5 PPG 4 Wins: 351
7 Losses: 31.4 PPG 7 Losses: 286.5

This team has been a Jekyll and Hyde team to epic proportions. In the 4 wins, they have, and even the quarterback has, been actually pretty good. But in the losses, it is as ugly as sin.

The hope is, that the Jets don’t hold onto these stats as proof that they are close to being the team they want to be. They like to hold on to this mantra of being “just a few plays away”. The stats being pretty good in the games they have won could give them evidence of that being true. They would be wrong, as we talked about yesterday. If they try to stay the course we are going to have problems for the near future.

But it is interesting to read.
