Sam Bradford Talks about Coach Schottenheimer

We all remember this face, don’t we? By the end of 2011, we all couldn’t wait to get rid of Brian Schottenheimer, citing his unimaginative playcalling. Well, one of the storylines on Sunday in St. Louis is reunions, and our reunion with Schotty is one of those said reunions. Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is in the midst of his first year under Brian’s direction, what does he think?

I’ve really enjoyed working with Schotty. It’s been great getting to know him (and) learning his system. I think he’s really helped me in the fact this year that he’s very detailed in everything that he does. He coaches me hard on little things. He never lets anything slide by and I think that’s been something I haven’t had in the past couple years. With him and Cig (Frank Cignetti) coaching me, it seems like they’re always on me about something. They help me elevate my level of play.

What does he think is Schotty’s best attribute?

I think Schotty’s greatest thing is just his attention to detail. His game plan each week, the way he coaches me (and) the way he coaches the offense, he’s very detailed. He holds everyone accountable to know all the small details and all the finer points. I think that’s great and I’ve really enjoyed being around him.

The jury is obviously still out on how Brian will do with this offense, as it has only been half a year. We can be sure that Schotty would like nothing more than to beat up on the Jets pretty badly. We will see how it turns out on Sunday.

Schotty does make some dumb play calls from what ive had a chance to see on t.v. (Redzone). I havnt seen much though because we are never in the redzone. They should let Bradford check out more and prove that he can be the leader of our team. Lets get that W on sunday guys. Rams Nation!!
