Antonio Cromartie Stands With His Quarterback

Unless Mark Sanchez performs better, there will always be the question of how long he will remain as the starting quarterback of the New York Jets. Off of yesterday’s horrendous performance, the questions got even louder. Well, we all know that Antonio Cromartie is no stranger to saying what is on his mind. Yesterday was no different. If you haven’t heard it by now, here is what Cro had to say about people calling for a change at quarterback:

“They can kiss my a–. Mark is our quarterback. At the end of the day, we couldn’t give a damn what anybody has to say on the outside. Mark’s our quarterback and will continue to be our quarterback. There’s not going to be no division.”

Coach Rex Ryan got testy when asked about the subject as well, saying that he will stick with Mark because he gives the team the best chance to win.

I have no problem with Antonio sticking by his QB. What do you want him to say? Our QB stinks and we should get rid of him? Of course he is going to stick with Mark. Maybe his choice of words was poor, and the reaction of the Jets’ PR man behind him is priceless, but Antonio is right to react that way. It may be the team’s downfall, and we will find out soon enough.
