There was a lot of frustration yesterday afternoon, deservedly so. The Jets were flat, and they were flat in all aspects of the football game, as they fell to the Dolphins 30-9. The offense was lifeless, the special teams was uncharacteristically sloppy, and the defense couldn’t get Matt Moore off of the field. It was not the way to head into the bye week.
There was a lot of talk leading up to the game, and during the game. But Antonio Cromartie summed it up pretty well:
“At the end of the day, their play between the lines was better than us,” he said. “Their defense came out and dominated our offense, and shut down our offense to the point where I think we were 1-for-5 in the red zone (actually 1-for-4). We have to put points on the board when we’re down in the red zone.”
You could tell he was frustrated when he said this about the team’s defensive performance, “one of our better defensive games … We were put in bad predicaments.”
Cro has every right to be frustrated, as this was surely not the way to head into the bye week.
