According to sources, the NFL has made their choice for the haltime show, and have picked a big one for the younger generation.

Sources are reporting today that the NFL has named Beyonce to perform at halftime of Super Bowl XLVII this February in New Orleans. One of the biggest names in music, she has been named in the continuing effort to keep younger people interested in the halftime show. The source is speaking anonymously as they cannot make the announcement official.

Beyonce is not a stranger to the big game, as she performed the National Anthem at the 2004 contest between the Patriots and the Panthers.

Previous recent performers have included Cee Lo Green, The Who, LMFAO, Madonna and Usher. Ever since the unfortunate incident involving Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson, the league has worked tirelessly to bring in acts that will not affect any censorship concerns. Beyonce, a pop diva, but one with a clean image, should fit that bill just perfectly for the league.
