Kenrick Ellis to Miss 4-6 Weeks, Po'uha Likely Out Sunday

More news on the injury front for Rex Ryan and the New YOrk Jets.

Coach Rex Ryan just announced that DL Kenrick Ellis has a significant injury to his MCL, that will keep him out for 4-6 weeks. To further the bad news, coach Ryan announced that he is not optimistic about Sione Po’uha’s chances to play on Sunday against the Colts. This is a blow to a defensive line that already has a tough time stopping the run. Fan favorite Damon Harrison will likely make his first NFL start on Sunday, alongside Mike Devito. Quinton Coples should see greatly increased reps as well.

In some good news, Rex remains optimistic that Nick Mangold will be able to play on Sunday. We have seen the lack of depth on the offensive line, and how they perform without Nick Mangold, so this will be a major blessing. Furthermore, coach Ryan appears pretty optimistic that Stephen HIll will be able to return on Sunday. Dustin Keller expects to be able to play Sunday as well, which is all great news for the Jets offense.
