New York Jets: Earning Their Wings

The Jets lost to the Texans 23-17 last night. Here are the Jets that earned their wings:

JEREMY KERLEY

With all of the injuries on the offensive side of the football, Jeremy Kerley is getting greatly increased playing time, and he reaped the benefits last night. Finishing with 5 catches for 94 yards is a clear indication that Kerley is emerging as a go to threat on the outside.

ANTONIO CROMARTIE

Cromartie had a huge game last night. Andre Johnson was not a factor in the game, and that was largely due to the coverage of Antonio Cromartie. Other than the deep touchdown where Cromartie was looking the wrong direction, we got the “good cro” that we were looking for.

JOE MCKNIGHT

Definitely have to give a pair of wings to Joe McKnight for his kickoff return for the TD. A 100 yard TD run was just what the doctor ordered at that point in the game. Great job by McKnight there.

It was a valiant effort by the Jets that came up short. Stay tuned later this afternoon for the report card.
