A lot is going to be Mark Sanchez’s shoulders tonight.

According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, Dustin Keller, Stephen Hill, and John Conner will all be inactive due to their respective hamstring injuries. None of these guys practiced once all week, and they are officially listed as doubtful for tonight.

That will put the spotlight on Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens at wide receiver, as we all expected. At tight end, Jeff Cumberland will make his fourth consecutive start. The newly acquired Lex Hilliard is expected to make the start in replace of injured John Conner.

This is not the news that we wanted to hear about an offense that is struggling to move the ball at all coming off of last week. This is going to put the ever growing pressure on Mark Sanchez even greater. He is going to have to step up tonight and play like the leader that Rex Ryan expects him to be. Whether they win the game or not, Mark needs to play big.
