The Jets are in the midst of a regroup mode, coming off the game last Sunday, and then the news regarding Santonio Holmes. With all of that, the Jets have a tough task ahead, with the undefeated Houston Texans coming to town. One thing that is not weakening is the confidence of the offense. Here is Stephen Hill on that topic:
The confidence is always up. You never see anybody down. Of course we were disappointed, but you never see anybody down in the building or anything. Everybody’s up, everybody’s ready to play. Now that we saw the game film its behind us and now we’re starting to move on.
He also talked about the fact that Santonio Holmes is staying influential with the wide receivers, even though he won’t be playing:
Yeah, definitely. I talk to him, really, everyday. He was just really putting it into my head, “It’s time for you all to step up.” Whoever’s going to step up and do the things that he brought to the table the last (three) years he was here. So he’s making sure he’s stays not just in my head, but other peoples heads, other wide receivers also.
Love to see that Santonio is still staying with his teammates, trying to motivate them. A very selfless, leader-like thing to do, and it’s great to see. No surprise that the offense is confident, we wouldn’t expect anything less from a Rex Ryan team. Hopefully that will translate onto the field this week.
