This afternoon, Dustin Keller and the Jets will announce a contest, teaming up with the New York City Department of Education to encourage families to apply for free and/or reduced price school lunches.
The SchoolFood program gives families in NYC the guarantee that their children can receive lunch within the city public schools at a reduced price or for free. The application determines whether families are eligible for this program or not.
The Jets are announcing this afternoon with the education department for special sweepstakes. Any family that fills out the application is automatically entered, and the winner receives a trip for two, courtesy of the New York Jets, to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii in 2013.
