It would appear that the Jets have made a move to add a body to the lackluster backfield that is the New York Jets running game.

Reports have surfaced that the Jets have signed RB/FB Lex Hilliard, most recently with our friends up in New England. He is in his fourth season in the league, spending his first three with Tony Sparano in Miami before beginning the 2012 season with New England.

If this report is confirmed, the assumption has to be that Hilliard will be used at the fullback spot. While with the Dolphins, Tony Sparano never gave Hilliard the football more than 23 times in a season. Clearly, they are looking at him for his ability as a blocker, unless something has changed since Sparano last saw him.

The question is what is the corresponding move? Assuming that the report is correct of course, who goes? Will this spell the end of John Conner in NY? That would seem to be the most logical, but then again, it is our Jets.
