It looks as if the Jets made a move today. Per his agent, Howard Shatsky, the Jets will release DL Marcus Dixon today. This after he was released one time before the season started, only to be resigned by the team just a few days later.

In 2 plus seasons as member of the Jets, he has recorded 21 tackle,s 15 solo, along with 2.5 sacks. He had 0.5 tackles this week against the Miami Dolphins.

I don’t want to go here, but this could be because they need a roster spot due to an injury we are going to find out about soon. They would need a roster spot if they are going looking for another CB to add to the roster. We know that we are not too long from finding out the news on Darrelle Revis. This might be a move to open a roster spot for CB depth. We will find out soon enough on that, that’s for sure.
