Jets vs. Steelers: Friday Injury Report

Here is the official injury report for the game on Sunday, first for the Jets:

CB Darrelle Revis(concussion)
G Dennis Landolt(knee)
TE Dustin Keller(hamstring)
LB Bryan Thomas(hamstring)

FB John Conner(knee)
CB Isaiah Trufant(ankle)

LB Nick Bellore(shoulder)
CB Antonio Cromartie(shoulder)
DT Mike Devito(calf)
WR Stephen Hill(calf)
WR Jeremy Kerley(back)
S LaRon Landry(heel)
LB Joshua Mauga(rib)
G Brandon Moore(hip)
DT Sione Pouha(back)
WR Chaz Schilens(ankle)
S Eric Smith(hip, knee)

We know about the biggest names on there. Darrelle Revis, Dustin Keller, and Bryan Thomas are all big losses on Sunday. But, there is one silver lining on this list. Sione Po’uha has been upgraded to probably, and is likely to play on Sunday, which will be a big boost to this Jets defensive line.

Now for the Steelers:

LB Stevenson Sylvester(knee)

RB Rashard Mendenhall(knee)

LB James Harrison(knee)
S Troy Polamalu(calf)

RB Jonathan Dwyer(foot)
DE Evander Hood(back)
T Max Starks(illness)

In addition to Mendenhall, reports out of Pittsburgh are that Harrison and Polamalu will not play on Sunday either. It’s almost as if the Jets spotted Pittsburgh 3 impact players, and the Steelers spotted the Jets 3 back. Polamalu will be a huge loss to the Steelers, and should give Mark Sanchez opportunities in the passing game.

No Mendenhall means a large diet of Jonathan Dwyer in the running game.
